The challenge
Most people rely on several unrelated apps for social networking, messaging, calls, learning, communities, and commerce, and global apps don't fully reflect local language, culture, payment methods, or community needs. Kotha's vision was to bring these activities into one platform built around Bangladeshi users.
Our approach
We contributed a modern web experience for the Kotha ecosystem using Next.js with WebSocket-backed messaging, supporting interactive feeds, posts and reactions, private and group chat, voice messages and calls, voice-first features like voice posts and podcasts, communities, a micro-marketplace, classes and events, and integrated local (bKash) payout workflows.
The outcome
A locally oriented digital environment where users connect, learn, transact, and earn, and where creators, educators, and professionals can offer knowledge, services, and products in one place.
